With a lot of aggressive goals in 2014 I really wanted to get the year started off with a bang. Although my costs started to grow a little too high overall it was a great month for all 3 parts of my business…

October was a busy month for me with holiday travel, business travel and personal travel I was on the road for ½ the month. For some people this is normal but for me it definitely is not! Although I would have preferred to be at home more I did get a nice little break. While in Chicago for a wedding I took the first full 48hr break from email that I think I ever have. (more…)

The headline for this month is that I have purchased my first website! My website over the first 11 months of it’s existence had generated a little over $8k in net profit. I took about ½ that and reinvested it to continue to accelerate my income growth. More on that later… (more…)

Month 9 has seen a huge jump in income and my goal of making more than Pat Flynn’s security guard site came very close!!! But the best event of the month was me finally being able to get my email opt ins to work!! This took 9 months but I am now able to get around 10 opt ins per day (compared to 17 for 8 months).

I am very happy to announce that I have started creating my next larger niche “Authority” site about the Canadian Insurance industry http://ourinsurancecanada.com/.

April was a great month for website income case studies(Spencer Haws ranks #1 and Tung ranks #1 in Google) and mine had record traffic and record income! This month now brings my monthly income average for the last 3 months to over $1,000!

Key Successes:

Finding Time To Work – As I mentioned a few times my Son was born March 5th and I have been enjoying every minute with him but on top of my busy day job it has been a challenge to find time to work.
However, within the last few weeks I have settled into a routine of putting in a few hrs late each night. (more…)
